Letter Of Advice To My Younger Self

Letter Of Advice To My Younger Self

My Dearest Little Me,

You have the power within you, never ignore yourself. Be your own favourite, love your own happiness. Life can be beautiful only if you deliberately, repeatedly make it. Here is a letter of advice to my younger self from an older me.

  • Pause, Breathe, And Proceed

Believe me there is no hurry, you can easily spare just 2 minutes before acting and reacting. A big step to a happier you.

  • Control Your Thoughts

Ok..thoughts come naturally to you but you certainly have the power to CONTROL them. Deliberate repeated attempts to create a new thought to replace the ones that upset you is an exercise. The more you exercise the more you master it.

  • Appreciate What You Have

  • Be grateful for all that you have. There are many who desire what you have got. If you focus on what you don’t have you, you will never have enough.
  • Forgive & Forget

Very difficult for sure! But stop punishing yourself by constant reminders of what wrong others did to you. Live a free life.

  • Smile

No! you are never too busy for a little smile on your face. If you smile, life will seem less stressful and more hopeful. The easiest exercise in this letter of advice to my younger self.

  • No More Mountains Out Of Molehills

Will this matter 5 years from now? Re-analyse the situation. Stop wasting your energy on unimportant things.

  • You Have Lots Of Time

Always think and believe you have lots of time for all that is on your mind. Beliefs will make all the spare time.

  • I’m Not Tired

No matter how tired you are, reassure yourself that you are the opposite. Your body and mind starts believing what you repeatedly emphasise on.

  • Hug Tighter

Absorb every hug a little more. A tighter hug heals pain and is the easiest way to express your love. Value relationships, give more than you take.

  • Learn To Say NO

Don’t be hard with yourself.  You don’t have to prove yourself ideal always. Take the simpler.. easier way..say NO. If it bothers you, its definitely not worth it.

  • Stop Blaming Others

You are responsible for your own happiness. Stop giving others the authority to control your moods. Remember if they repeatedly hurt you, they clearly should not be on your mind!

These are few of the innumerable advices I love to give to you. Practice them everyday of your life for a happier you.

Love Always,

An Older Me.
