We all fight our own battles. Yet, many a times in life we just need that one person to hold our hand and say “Everything is gonna be alright.” Looking for that one best friend who is forever going to be with you? Then do read this blog till the end.
First Test Yourself
Take a pen and paper and make a list of ten names of all the people closest to your heart.
Written?
For many of us…correction almost all of us the list comprises of our partner, children, parents, siblings and friends. By the way.. where is God? You may argue he is God… the unreachable, unattainable, supreme being…our master.
What made us write these names?
Simply because we have given a lot of our time and energy to all these relationships. Other than offering him our prayers, do we honestly try bonding with God.
Most of us believe that God punishes us when we do not do certain things the right way. But remember..a mother always forgives and forgets when her child does anything wrong. Our sufferings are not our punishments given by God, but our previous karmas. Please take the responsibility of your own actions. On the contrary, the Supreme Being gives us all the courage and strength to face those karmas.
Why is it at times of crisis, when nothing works, only then we remember him and leave all to him. Do we ever think of him first?
Change your thoughts. Make a deliberate attempt and fix your attention to grow this relation with God.
You have to give your most precious time, love and care to deepen your relationship with the Almighty. Initially it may be difficult to get closer to him. It certainly takes time to make new bonds. But if you are determined, God himself will help you. Feelings and beliefs will follow. His replies will come through thoughts, sentiments and other people. You have to be willing to trust and listen.

Strong relationships require constant two- way communication. God will give his replies through thoughts , feelings, music, readings and other people. So trust him to get to you. We need to silence our minds in this preoccupied life to hear his voice.
Meditation is one of the best ways to listen to him. Silence may be uncomfortable in the beginning. But you will love it with each passing day.
